Special Education

Various learning difficulties, slow learners and students with special needs are dealt by the counsellors through various strategies-

Increasing span of attention & sitting, finger dexterity, fine motor skills, eating habit, toilet training, specific learning disabilities, Study skills, test taking skills, note taking skills, pre-teen developmental issues, internet misuse, curiosity, experimenting etc.  Besides this, the counsellors assist in countering addictions, bullying, peer pressure, personal crisis, adolescent developmental issues, scholastic problems, behavioural and emotional problems, substance abuse, time management, memory techniques, relaxation techniques, overcoming exam anxiety, Career Information Giving, assisting students to apply for higher education etc.

International Exchange Program (IEP)

Students of ISM visit different foreign destinations to understand the culture and educational policies of other countries. This enhances the horizon of their knowledge while allowing us to adapt to other cultures when we go abroad for higher education.

Counselling Activities

Experienced counsellors assist students in acquiring and using lifelong learning skills. The counselling centre takes care of counselling needs of students in the areas of educational, personal, social and career domains. Some of the activities are listed as follows:

Career Counselling
Guidance

The students can reach the counsellors and avail the services at different sections (primary, middle, and senior) to discuss about their career related queries or psychological impediments that can be dealt with appropriate guidance. The current impediments (if any) and the future endeavours can be discussed by the students and their parents with the concerned counsellors.

The guidance and counselling program of our school is an integral part of the total educational program which supports, facilitates, and encourages classroom instruction and student achievement. It is also proactive and preventative in nature, developmental by design, focusing on needs, interests, and issues related to various stages of student growth.
